This route may require transportation through several modes of transport and can be divided into 3 stages: main run, pre-carriage, and on-carriage.
Pre-carriage involves picking up the cargo from the sender’s warehouse, production facility, etc. and is usually done by trucks.
Next is the main run which means the transport of the package from one city, state, or country to another via sea, air, rail or road. The decision on the mode of transport will be taken basis deadlines, type of cargo and which one proves most economical.
The last stage or the on-carriage stage will see us pick up the cargo from the port/departure and deliver it to the buyer’s doorstep.
